Michael J. Greco
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Michael J. Greco has more than 30 years of experience in real estate, project development, and construction management on projects in Hawaii and the mainland U.S., Mexico, Caribbean, and Europe.

Most recently has was the chief operating officer for Hale Ka Lae, a luxury condominium planned in East Oahu before forming GK Group LLC to provide development and project management services. Previous to this he was the vice president of construction for Fifield Realty Corporation, Mr. Greco oversaw the entire development of Allure Waikiki, an upscale condominium on Kalakaua Avenue that opened in July 2010.

He served as the lead on fast-track design/build projects, multi-project developments, construction management and general contracting assignments. His natural aptitude for facilitating strong team relationships and business operations always contributes greatly to his tenured record of success.

Timothy Stephen Burke
Managing Member

As founder of Maxum Construction of Hawaii, LLC., Mr. Timothy Stephen Burke has one eye on the future. He is always looking for ways to provide clients with the best products and services, and for new opportunities that move the company forward. Ask Mr. Burke to define success and he will tell you, “the measure of success is generating lasting results. It’s not just what you do but the value you bring that has a lasting impact.”

Mr. Burke brings more than 23 years of experience in the construction industry having begun his career as project superintendent for a successful Department of Defense contractor, and was eventually promoted to vice president of Construction Pacific Rim Division.

He founded Maxum Construction of Hawaii, LLC in 2003 to service the Hawaiian Islands as a premier high end interior finish contractor. To this day he plays a very active role in all projects from start to finish and can frequently be spotted on active project sites continuously checking quality to ensure clients receive the highest level of materials and workmanship.

In addition to Maxum Construction, he also co-founded Titan Industries, LLC, a licensed State of Hawaii hazardous materials abatement contractor recognized by the United States Federal Government Environmental Protection Agency (USG-EPA).

George Baxter
Director of Construction

Mr. George Baxter began his career in Seattle, Washington in the hazardous abatement field cleaning up the environment of asbestos, PCB’s, lead paint, arsenic and other dangerous building materials. He followed this career path to Hawaii where he worked with a highly-regarded government contractor and was promoted to superintendent. Mr. Baxter was instrumental to the growth of the company to a large, full-scale general contractor.

This knowledge has enabled Mr. Baxter to be knowledgeable in all aspects of construction including codes, rules and regulations of city, state and federal agencies and their respective standards and construction details. Mr. Baxter ensures that budgets are met, timelines are adhered to, and all the proper permits and licenses are in place.

Additionally, he manages Maxum Construction’s sub-contracting partners and suppliers, including review of the architectural and engineering drawings and their job performance. With extensive industry experience, Mr. Baxter makes certain that all aspects of construction are seamlessly integrated for a successful project.

Darin Hughes
General Superintendent

Mr. Darin Hughes began his construction career in the roofing industry laying more than 1,000 tile roofs in the Greater Phoenix area. In the late 1980s, he joined BCP Construction, a firm specializing in hazardous waste removal.

When BCP opened an office in Hawaii, Mr. Hughes chose to make the move to the Islands and continued to work for BCP construction as the firm transitioned to a successful full-service general contractor, working his way through the ranks to field superintendent.

Today, Mr. Hughes oversees the daily field operations for Maxum Construction where his duties include collaborating with architects and owners, ordering equipment and material, site and building layout and cost engineering.

Dustin Gallegos
Quality Control Manager

Mr. Dustin Gallegos was formally trained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in construction quality control management. After receiving his bachelor’s degrees in integrated physiology and pre-med from The University of Colorado, Boulder, he decided to carry on the family tradition and entered the construction industry.

As quality control manager, Mr. Gallegos is responsible for planning a smooth and efficient construction process and following contract plans and specifications to produce a quality product safely, on time, and within budget.

Maxum’s quality control management program ensures clients of efficient planning and production, fluid communication, and outstanding performance evaluations.

Ernie Santiago
Safety Officer

Mr. Ernie Santiago brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Maxum Construction LLC. He began his career serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and later worked for the Department of Safety at Halawa High Security Correctional Facility (HCF).

At HCF, He was tasked with designing, implementing and enforcing the facility’s standard operating procedures for officer safety. He later began work for the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 368. Seeing a need for a union safety officer, he was assigned to the Hawaii Laborer’s Training Program where he served as safety coordinator and instructor and was later promoted to interim director.

Mr. Santiago implemented the safety program for LIUNA Local 368’s apprenticeship program that was recognized with an award from the Hawaii Industrial Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Mr. Santiago is certified to each all OSHA and Environmental Protection Agency classes.
